Now is an ideal moment to move forward with this reporting effort, and not just because of the worsening anemia among legacy journalism outlets. In an effort to take this reporting and various innovative storytelling methods to a more sustained level, we’ve launched the nonprofit, The Outlaw Ocean Project. The Project produces several major journalistic stories per year and places them in news outlets globally. The Project also continues to release dozens of albums for The Outlaw Ocean Music Project, which has received coverage from Billboard Magazine, Complex, Rolling Stone and others.
